Sixth place evidently paid $11,500 in 1979.  For comparison purposes, seventh place in 2011 paid $268,000.

What's With the Weather

After a short spell of warmer weather earlier, it's been too cold and rainy/snowy to golf for over a week now.  I was hoping the weather would have broken enough to squeeze in nine holes this week.  Didn't happen.  But like Mark Twain said, "Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it."
